Find Restaurants with Form Mode

Use the structured form on the recommendation page to filter Nigerian restaurants by city, food preference, and price range for precise results.

Form Mode gives you explicit control over your restaurant search. Instead of writing a free-text message, you choose your city from a dropdown, describe the food you want, and select a price range. This is useful when you want to be precise about location or budget, or when you already know exactly what you’re after.

How to use Form Mode

1. Go to the recommendation page

   Open /recommend in your browser.

2. Select the Form tab

   At the top of the page, click the Form tab to switch to Form Mode.

3. Choose your city

   Select a city from the City dropdown. See the city options table below for all available cities.

4. Enter your food preference

   In the Preferred Food field, type the dishes or cuisine styles you want. For example: Amala, Suya, Jollof. You can list multiple preferences separated by commas.

5. Select a price range

   Choose one of three price range options: Budget, Mid-range, or Baller. See price ranges below for guidance on what each means.

6. Submit the form

   Click Find Best Taste to run the search. Recommendations appear below the form.

City options

The following cities are available in the dropdown:

Abuja	Federal capital; strong coverage of upscale and mid-range dining
Port Harcourt	South-South hub; good coverage of local and fine dining
Ibadan	Major South-West city; strong local food scene
Kano	Northern Nigeria’s largest city; focus on Northern cuisine
Enugu	South-East city; known for traditional Igbo dishes

Price ranges

What you get back

Results appear as the same recommendation cards used in Chat Mode, each showing:

• Restaurant name
• Reason — why the spot matches your inputs
• Predicted rating
• Cultural note — context about the restaurant’s vibe or signature dishes

Tips

Leave the Preferred Food field blank to get general Nigerian restaurant recommendations for your chosen city and price range. The engine will return a broad mix of well-rated spots.

If you grant location access, Form Mode uses your GPS coordinates for a 5km radius search even though you’ve selected a city. Your GPS position takes priority. See Geolocation.
