NaijaTaste is a food intelligence platform, not a data broker. This page explains what we collect, how we use it, and what controls you have.

What we do not collect

  • Payment information (no payments on the platform)
  • Contacts or call logs
  • Device identifiers beyond session management
  • Any data from other apps on your device

What we do not sell

Your taste profile, your search history, and your review history are not sold to third parties. They are not used for advertising. They are used only to improve the recommendations and reviews the platform generates for you.

Data storage

Restaurant data is fetched from Google Places and cached server-side. Cache entries expire automatically. We do not store raw Google Places API responses beyond the cache window. User profile data (persona, review history) is stored on our servers and linked to your account. Deleting your account removes this data.

NaijaTaste operates in compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR). If you have a data request — access, correction, or deletion — contact us through the platform.
