What feeds the loop
| Action | Signal it produces |
|---|---|
| Searching for restaurants | Cuisine preference, city pattern, price range interest |
| Clicking a recommendation | Price level acceptance, cuisine confirmation |
| Generating a review | Star calibration, tone preference, highlight vocabulary |
| Saving a restaurant | Strong positive signal for that price level and cuisine type |
| Signing in across sessions | Persistent history across devices |
How the loop runs
- You search. The engine scores restaurants against your current persona.
- You click or generate a review. That interaction is recorded as a preference signal.
- Your persona updates. The weighting for that cuisine type, price level, and location pattern adjusts marginally.
- The next search scores differently. Restaurants that match your refined profile rank slightly higher.
A concrete example
Amara starts as a Street Food Enthusiast (budget, Pidgin-heavy, flavour-first). Over four months she starts searching for mid-range spots in Lekki. She generates reviews for three restaurants there, all at 4 stars, all in a mixed tone. The engine does not reclassify her as a Lagos Professional. But it adjusts her scoring weights:- Price level 2 now competes with price level 1 in her results
- Lekki is added to her active location pattern
- Her review tone shifts from Pidgin-heavy toward mixed
The persona level
As your feedback loop accumulates data, your persona level rises:| Level | Profile depth | Recommendation precision |
|---|---|---|
| Discovering | 0–5 interactions | Archetype defaults dominate |
| Developing | 6–20 interactions | Personal signals begin to emerge |
| Established | 21–60 interactions | Profile is meaningfully personalised |
| Authority | 60+ interactions | High-confidence taste model |
Resetting your profile
You can reset your taste history from your profile settings. This returns you to archetype defaults. Your persona level resets to Discovering.Resetting is permanent. Your past review history is deleted from your profile. Generated review text you’ve already copied is unaffected.
